Removing and Cleaning the Strainer

The strainer is located under the sprayer arm that was lower. The dishwasher may flood or overfill when the strainer becomes obstructed with detergent and food debris. The strainer is a metal or plastic component consisting of two halves that are semicircular. To remove this type of strainer, pry up it. On additional dishwashers, the strainer is a component. To eliminate, eliminate the cap which holds the sprayer arm onto its own shaft. Remove and the strainer.
